FAQ

What is the booking process?

A.To schedule your session, reach out to me via email at devineileeng@gmail.com, fill out the form on the "Contact" page, or give me a call or text at 320-290-5955. Let's chat to find a day that works together.

When should I expect my pictures?

A.You can expect to receive your high-res images via online gallery within 2 weeks after our session, with full printing rights included. I always strive to meet this deadline and haven't missed it yet! However, unexpected events can occur, so if anything arises that might extend the turnaround time, rest assured I'll communicate with you promptly. Your images will be delivered via a downloadable gallery, allowing you to conveniently access and save them to your device. It's important to download your images within 15 days, as the gallery link will expire after that period. Your satisfaction and timely delivery of your photos are my priorities, and I'll ensure a smooth and efficient process every step of the way.

How many pictures will we receive?

A.There's no set number of pictures you'll receive because I believe in capturing as many moments as possible during our session. As long as creativity flows and smiles abound, we'll work together to explore a variety of poses and scenes in the allotted time, ensuring we document the essence of your family or individual story. I'm dedicated to providing you with a comprehensive collection of images that truly encapsulate the spirit and emotions of our time together. Rest assured, each photograph will undergo professional editing, and you'll receive both color and black-and-white versions to enhance the visual narrative and preserve your memories in stunning detail. My goal is to deliver a selection of images that truly resonate with you, reflecting the success of our collaborative journey behind the lens.

What’s the best time of day for a session?

A.The best times for an outdoor photoshoot, in my opinion, are during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset. The soft, warm light during these times adds a dreamy quality to the photos and enhances their visual appeal. However we can make any time work with the right location! Typically, my sessions last around an hour, allowing us to capture a variety of shots in all the combinations of loved ones you desire! I generally schedule outdoor photoshoots between the months of May and October, when the weather is more predictable and conducive to outdoor sessions. However, I have shot in the midst of winter, wind, and drizzle, and captured some amazing images!

While I don't currently have a studio space of my own, I am happy to do life-style shoots in the comfort of your home, or space like a greenhouse, or coffee shop! Let's chat about what this could look like.

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A.If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of our scheduled shoot, don't worry – we'll find a solution together! While there are instances where we can embrace the elements and still capture incredible images, such as with wind or cloudy skies adding their own unique charm, if we both agree that it's just not the right day for a shoot, we'll reschedule. Your comfort and satisfaction are my top priorities, so rest assured, we'll work together to find a new date that works for everyone, ensuring we capture the moments you envision.

What locations do you use?

A.I have several outdoor locations that have proven to be fantastic settings for photo sessions. One of my favorites is a picturesque local farm right here in Richmond, where many beautiful sessions have taken place. Additionally, I've had great success capturing stunning images at St. John's in St. Joe and Quarry Park in Waite Park. However, I'm more than willing to travel within the area to accommodate your preferences. Whether it's a favorite park, a scenic spot, or even your own property, we'll work together to find the perfect location that reflects your vision and suits your style. Although I currently operate without a studio space, I'm happy to conduct lifestyle shoots in the cozy confines of your home or within places such as a greenhouse or coffee shop! Let's discuss the endless possibilities.

How should we dress for our session?

A.When preparing for your session, comfort is key. I recommend wearing clothing that not only feels comfortable but also coordinates well together. While bold patterns, clothing with large logos or writing, and neon colors can sometimes distract from the focus of the photos, opting for solid colors and subtle patterns can help create a cohesive look. Adding texture, like velvet, linen or denim, and accessories such as headbands or belts can add visual interest without overpowering the scene. Ultimately, the most important thing is that you feel confident and relaxed in what you're wearing, allowing your natural beauty and personality to shine through in the images. Multiple outfits are just fine too! You can always send over what you're thinking to me and I'd be happy to give my opinion :)
